The expansion of Sacred Heart Church, Phase Two of the master plan, was completed in 2002. It features a doubling of the church to a seating capacity of 750. Also included is a similar expansion to the parish social hall below the church which provides an enlargement of the cafeteria, new kitchen and new meeting rooms.

The pastor and building committee went through a one year program of education and discernment in preparation for the church renovation with two goals in mind. One was to learn the requirements of modern Catholic worship. The other was to understand and preserve the architectural style and artifacts of the 1915 church structure which were sacred to parishoners.
